ĐÀ NẴNG – Vietnamese researchers have connected with world-class scientific tools and expertise in fostering local innovation in genomic research at the premier genomics conference, the annual flagship event PRISM 2025 in the central city, offering up valuable opportunities for Vietnamese scientists and researchers, to engage with global experts and explore cutting-edge sequencing technologies.
The conference, which was co-hosted by DKSH Business Unit Technology, a leading partner for life sciences exploration across Asia, and PacBio, a premier life science technology company, helped connect scientists and researchers with global experts and advanced sequencing technologies, highlighting DKSH’s commitment to expanding access to cutting-edge life science solutions for the local scientific community.
Local and regional experts had shared information and knowledge through presentations from genomics experts, workshops, and an exhibition of PacBio’s latest sequencing technologies that has been held the first time in Việt Nam and the second time in Southeast Asia.
Director of Marketing, PacBio, Asia-Pacific Lyndsey Lam, said: “PRISM is our global flagship event that brings together genomics experts and researchers from around the world to exchange ideas and advance scientific discovery. PRISM 2025 marked a significant milestone for Việt Nam’s growing influence in the life sciences sector, giving local researchers and scientists unprecedented access to advanced genomic technologies and global expertise.
DKSH said the partnership with PacBio has offered advanced sequencing solutions addressing a broad spectrum of research applications, including human germline sequencing, plant and animal sciences, infectious disease research and oncology studies.
The General Manager, Business Unit Technology, DKSH Việt Nam, Nguyễn Thị Tôn Cẩm Trâm, stressed: “Vietnamese scientists have been in connection with leading genomic technologies to empower local researchers through global collaboration, knowledge exchange and access to cutting-edge sequencing trends,” she said.
She added DKSH has been delivering growth for companies in Asia and offering solutions for specialised scientific and industrial applications.
Meanwhile, PacBio has been working sequencing solutions to help scientists and clinical researchers resolve genetically complex problems.
