HÀ NỘI – Hậu Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (DHG)’s Board of Directors (BOD) has appointed Nguyễn Chí Thành as the new chairman of the company, starting October 26.

The appointment was made following the extraordinary general meeting on October 25.

Thành is currently deputy general director of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), chairman of the Domesco Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation, vice chairman of the Tiền Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company, member of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank’s BoD and member of Việt Nam Television Tower Company’s BoD.

He replaced Hoàng Nguyên Học, representative of SCIC Capital, because Học reached the retirement age according to current regulations. Học was also dismissed from the company’s BoD.

Recently, Hậu Giang Pharmaceutical has witnessed significant personnel-related changes. Notably, Phạm Thị Việt Nga resigned from the position of general director but still continues to be a member of the BoD to participate in the company’s strategy management.

In the first nine months of 2017, the company reported net sales of VNĐ2.71 trillion and after-tax profit of VNĐ498 billion, a year-on-year increase of four per cent and six per cent, respectively. With these results, the company has fulfilled 62 per cent of its revenue and profit target. — VNS
