HCM CITY — More than 200 exhibitors from 10 countries and territories are taking part in the Global Exhibition on Nonwoven and Hygiene Technologies (GENTEXH 2025), which opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre on March 12.
Organised by Radeecal Exhicon and Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co., Ltd., the exhibition features the entire nonwoven industrial chain, from raw materials and machinery to finished products, covering applications in various sectors like hygiene, medicine, filtration, packaging, agriculture, automotive, and geotextiles.
Key highlights of the event include specialised industry seminars, a Made-in-Vietnam Nonwoven Product Sourcing Hub, and exclusive buyer zones.
According to the organisers, the exhibition is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, underscoring the potential of Việt Nam’s nonwoven industry.
GENTEXH Vietnam will be an ideal platform for exhibitors to showcase their advanced technologies and enable visitors to interact with and access them, as well as seek partners, they said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Đỗ Thị Minh Trâm, deputy general director of the Agency for Innovation, Green Transition and Industry Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the global nonwoven fabrics market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.02 per cent to reach US$76.5 billion by 2029.
She highlighted that in the Asia-Pacific region, the market demonstrates strong potential, driven by rising demand for hygiene products, particularly in high-consumption countries such as India and China.

Additionally, the development of industries such as automotive, agriculture, geotextiles, and industrial manufacturing is further fuelling demand for nonwoven fabrics, thanks to their outstanding properties, including high durability, lightweight, flexibility, environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and hygiene safety, she said.
“In Việt Nam, the nonwoven market is also keeping pace with the global trend of using eco-friendly and versatile products. Despite its potential, the number of nonwoven fabric manufacturers in Việt Nam remains limited. Domestic enterprises still face significant challenges in accessing modern technology and advanced machinery to enhance product quality and meet international standards,” she noted.
She expressed her belief that GENTEXH 2025 will become a premier international trade event, opening up numerous opportunities for cooperation and networking for both domestic and international enterprises.
“Notably, this exhibition will serve as a valuable platform for Vietnamese businesses to gain access to cutting-edge production technologies and high-quality raw materials from leading nonwoven fabric-producing countries. This, in turn, will contribute to enhancing product quality, improving competitiveness, and fostering the sustainable development of the nonwoven fabric industry in Việt Nam and the broader Southeast Asian region,” she added.
The exhibition will run until March 14 and is expected to attract over 5,000 trade visitors. — VNS
