HÀ NỘI — The General Department of Taxation on Thursday officially launched the e-portal for households and individuals running ecommerce business to register, declare and pay tax.
The tax watchdog said that the e-portal aims to provide a convenient channel for taxpayers to comply with regulations as well as meeting the requirements of modern and transparent tax management system in the context of rapidly expanding digital commerce in Việt Nam.
The portal will support households and individuals doing business on e-commerce marketplaces and social networks such as Shopee, Lazada, Facebook and Zalo and those with incomes from advertising on platforms such as Google, YouTube and software providers on CH Play and Apple Store.
Director of the Tax Administration Department on Small and Medium Enterprises and Business Households and Individuals, Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh, said that the portal has four main functions including tax registration, declarations and payments, aiming to simplify administrative procedures to tax payers and reduce compliance time and costs.
The e-portal is a part of the effort to strengthen the national digital transformation towards e-Government, digital economy and society and promote the development of digital economy and e-commerce industry in Việt Nam, she said. — VNS
