From October 15-17, Da Nang Airport welcomed five of the world's most luxurious and expensive Gulfstream private jets. What’s happening in the “City of the Han River” as it becomes a recent destination for billionaires?

Gulfstream is a renowned name in the luxury aviation industry, with notable clients including billionaires such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos, as well as famous sports stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who own these aircraft. This private jet company is celebrated for its unparalleled flying speed, revolutionary safety and efficiency improvements, and, especially, its luxurious interiors and amenities that make its jets resemble a "flying mansion."

This marks the second time that Gulfstream private jets for the super-rich have brought billionaires from around the world to Vietnam, following the Air Show at Van Don Airport in 2022.

This time, the five Gulfstream jets that have helped establish Gulfstream's international fame include the G600, G500, G650ER, and two newly launched G700s that landed in Da Nang.

The G700 boasts the widest cabin in the industry, with leading range and speed capabilities that accommodate up to 21 passengers. It allows passengers to experience peak wellness in the cabin, with 100 percent fresh air replenished every two to three minutes and abundant natural light from the 20 largest windows in business jets.

Among the five private jets landing in Da Nang, the G650ER stands out for its ability to fly faster and farther than any aircraft in its weight class, even allowing for a circumnavigation of the globe with just one stop.

Notably, the G650ER can fly above turbulence, while other aircraft can only fly through it. Its interior caters to the ultra-wealthy, featuring amenities such as a bed, kitchen, bar, bathroom, lounge area with a TV, and a five-star standard living room. This private jet is familiar to the Vietnamese elite due to its operation by Sun Air—the first luxury airline in Vietnam and Gulfstream's exclusive representative in the country.

The arrival of Gulfstream luxury jets highlights Vietnam’s great potential, and Gulfstream’s partnership with Sun Air for market expansion in Vietnam is a significant step in its Asia-Pacific market development strategy. Gulfstream's focus on market development in Vietnam positions the country as an emerging market in Asia and asserts its presence on the global luxury aviation map.

The launch of Sun Group's luxury airline, Sun Air, in Vietnam in 2022, along with the decision of the world’s most expensive private jet airline to base itself in Da Nang, affirms Vietnam’s status as an ideal destination for the world's super-rich.

Recently, Vietnam has been ranked among the most worth-visiting countries in the world by CN Traveler. Additionally, as reported by New World Wealth and Henley & Partners, Vietnam saw the fastest growth in millionaires globally between 2013 and 2023, marking a 98 percent increase over the past decade.

This event will create opportunities for clients to explore famous destinations around Da Nang, such as Ba Na Hills, Ba Na Hills Golf Club, and Hoi An Ancient Town, while enjoying a luxurious vacation at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, which has been awarded "World’s Leading Luxury Resort" for three consecutive years.
