LienVietPostBank to support Bắc Ninh in building e-government

HÀ NỘI — Liên Việt Post Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LienVietPostBank) and the People’s Committee of Bắc Ninh Province have signed a cooperation agreement in building e-government and smart cities in the province.

Under the agreement, LienVietPostBank pledged to support Bắc Ninh province in speeding up the development of e-government and smart cities in accordance with the target of becoming a State-administered city by 2022.

The bank will provide electronic payment services, business services on the basis of digital data, digital banking, telecom infrastructure development and information technology, as well as IT applications for e-government and smart cities in the area.

Under the legal framework, the provincial People’s Committee pledges to create favourable conditions for LienVietPostBank to participate in programmes and projects of the province to meet the needs of building e-government, smart cities and electronic payment applications.

In order to implement the cooperative agreement, the committee appointed the Department of Information and Communication as the focal point of the region. For LienVietPostBank, the focal point is the Digital Banking Division. — VNS
