HCM CITY — E-commerce company Lazada Vietnam has begun to directly sell products to consumers through its LazMall.

It announced on Tuesday that LazMall is a part of Lazada.vn and that it ensures the origin of all products sold there and offers next-day delivery and a 15-day return policy.

Until now Lazada was only an online marketplace.

Nguyễn Thanh Thủy, chief business officer of Lazada Vietnam, told Viet Nam News that products sold on LazMall are directly bought from manufacturers.

They include electronics, household appliances, fashion, kids’ products, and cosmetics, she said.

So far Lazada has signed deals with 300 companies, including big brands like Lock & Lock, Nivea, Bitis, and Unilever.

With the launch of LazMall, the number of big brands on the company’s e-commerce platform would increase by four times, the company said.

Lazada also said it has further improved infrastructure in preparation for a new stage of development.

To mark the launch of the mall, Lazada has unveiled many promotions, which will go on until Sunday. On that day there will be a giant sale of all products.

Lazada was established in 2012 and is now the biggest e-commerce platform in Việt Nam.

The company, which operates all over Southeast Asia, has tied up with 155,000 retailers and 3,000 merchants and serves 560 million consumers.

The company was acquired by China’s Alibaba Group Holding Limited in 2016. — VNS
