Vinatex reports 14% surge in profits

Vinatex, the nation’s premier textile and garment company, reported a pre-tax profit of VNĐ394 billion (US$17.3 million) for the first half of this year, a 14 per cent year-on-year rise.

HÀ NỘI — Vinatex, the nation’s premier textile and garment company, reported a pre-tax profit of VNĐ394 billion (US$17.3 million) for the first half of this year, a 14 per cent year-on-year rise.

Its revenues were up 7 per cent to VNĐ9.3 trillion.

Vinatex targets profits of VNĐ787 billion on consolidated revenues of over VNĐ20.3 trillion this year, representing a rise of 5 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively.

It plans to pay dividends of 6 per cent for 2018. — VNS
