ĐÀ NẴNG — Coca-Cola Việt Nam officially inaugurated a new warehouse and wastewater treatment project for its plant in Đà Nẵng city with total investment of US$5 million on Monday.
The company said on Monday the wastewater treatment system will operate with a capacity of 1,000cu.m daily.
The company said the warehouse and wastewater treatment project completed its investment package of $300 million throughout Việt Nam, which began four years ago.
On the occasion, the soft drink producer and HCM City’s Industry College inked an agreement to develop 65 fresh water filter systems to provide drinking water for students at junior and secondary schools in Đà Nẵng.
Coca-Cola Việt Nam has provided more than VNĐ600 million (US$26,500) for community fresh water programmes for poor people living in Liên Chiểu District since 2007.
In 2011, the company put a bottled water plant into operation in Đà Nẵng with total investment of $3 million. — VNS
