HÀ NỘI — Lộc Trời Group listed more than 67 million shares on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) on Monday.
The reference price for its shares began at VNĐ55,000 (US$2.4) per share, equivalent to market capitalisation of nearly VNĐ3.7 trillion.
Lộc Trời is the largest agricultural company listed on HCM City Stock Exchange, Hà Nội Stock Exchange and UPCoM according to last year’s revenue.
Established in 1993 and formerly known as An Giang Plant Protection Joint Stock Company, Lộc Trời Group has been a pioneer in building value chain models for sustainable rice production, focusing on developing and sharing value across the supply chain. Its engineers have established links with 25,000 farmers to re-organise production and provide seeds and agricultural inputs for some 60,000 hectares of large-scale rice fields.
Currently, the group is doing business in three main fields including pesticides and plant nutrition, seeds and food processing.
It is one of the few successful rice exporters into fastidious markets such as the US, Japan, Australia, Europe and Republic of Korea.
Last year, the group reached nearly VNĐ7.8 trillion in revenue and VNĐ349 billion in after-tax profit.
This year, Lộc Trời is aiming for VNĐ8.3 trillion of revenue, VNĐ460 billion of profit after-tax, a growth rate of 28.7 per cent and cash dividend payment of 30 per cent.
In the first half of 2017, Lộc Trời recorded net revenue of VNĐ4.05 trillion, up 14.42 per cent over the same period last year and after-tax profit of VNĐ196 billion. — VNS
