TTC Energy to install solar panels for Bến Tre department store

TTC Energy Joint Stock Company has signed an agreement with Saigon Co.op Investment Development Joint Stock Company to install a 588 kWp solar power system on the roof of the latter’s Sense City Department Store in Bến Tre city.

HCM CITY — TTC Energy Joint Stock Company has signed an agreement with Saigon Co.op Investment Development Joint Stock Company to install a 588 kWp solar power system on the roof of the latter’s Sense City Department Store in Bến Tre city.

TTC Energy, a member of the TTC Group, will use 280W mono solar panels produced in the US.

The agreement makes Sense City Bến Tre the first department store in the Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta to use clean energy.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of an investment promotion conference held in Bến Tre Province on Thursday in the presence of former Deputy Prime Minister Trương Vĩnh Trọng and chairman of the Government Office and minister, Mai Tiến Dũng.

At the conference, which was attended by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and many senior officials, TTC Group got the licence for its Bình Đại wind power plant from Bến Tre authorities.

To be built by the Mekong Wind Power JSC, another member of the TTC Group, the plant’s 15 wind turbines will have a capacity of 30MW and is expected to start producing power in 2019-20. — VNS
