HÀ NỘI — National carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) officially put into use the new-generation Airbus A350-900 XWB on the route between Hà Nội and Haneda, Japan, on Sunday.
Haneda Airport, or Tokyo International Airport, is the fifth destination for the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A350-900 XWB. The other routes are Hà Nội/HCM City-Paris, Hà Nội-Seoul, HCM City-Shanghai and HCM City-Osaka.
VNA currently operates 31-35 flights per week from Việt Nam to Tokyo through Narita and Haneda airports in Japan, of which 14 flights are from Hà Nội, 12-14 others are from HCM City and 5-7 flights are from Đà Nẵng.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Vietnam Airlines said the firm and its subsidiary Jetstar Pacific offered many discounted tickets for a domestic one-way route at VNĐ299,000 and an international return ticket at VN899,000 during HCM City Tourism Day 2017, themed “Hello summer,” which was held in HCM City from Thursday to Sunday. — VNS
