HÀ NỘI — The three honours presented at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2026 reflect Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation’s (SABECO) efforts to innovate its products, strengthen operational capabilities and pursue sustainable growth.
SABECO was named an 'Outstanding Enterprise in Asia' for the third time at APEA 2026, while its two beer brands, Bia Saigon and Bia 333, received the 'Inspirational Brand' title.
Organised by Enterprise Asia since 2007, the awards recognise businesses and leaders for outstanding achievements across the region. The evaluation covers leadership, business performance, innovation, corporate governance and sustainability.
Việt Nam’s beverage market is constantly evolving, with changing consumer preferences and increasingly stringent requirements for alcoholic beverage producers. SABECO has focused on product innovation, operational improvements and expanding its portfolio to offer consumers more choices.
In July 2025, the company began introducing 250ml cans in response to growing interest in smaller packaging formats. Its 333 Pilsner 250ml, launched in April 2026, recorded nearly triple-digit growth within just a few months, according to the company.
Continuing its product innovation strategy, SABECO recently introduced 333 Triple Pure, a new beer offering with lower carbohydrate and calorie content, featuring a smooth and balanced taste.

Strengthening operational capabilities
SABECO is also accelerating digital transformation across its value chain to improve efficiency and adapt to market changes.
The deployment of warehouse and transport management systems, commercial data platforms and digital management tools has helped the company strengthen oversight, optimise costs and improve decision-making.
In 2025, SABECO recorded net revenue of VNĐ25.9 trillion (US$1.03 billion), pre-tax profit of VNĐ5.65 trillion and after-tax profit of VNĐ4.57 trillion. It was also among Việt Nam’s 15 largest state budget contributors.
Speaking about the company’s strategy for the coming years, SABECO General Director Lester Tan said: “We will continue to build our domestic business foundation in Việt Nam while constantly developing our capabilities and enhancing our brand value to strengthen our position in the global market.”
Alongside business performance, SABECO is investing in human resources, improving corporate governance and reducing its environmental footprint.
Under its 2026-30 strategy, the company aims to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace, strengthen training and succession planning, and increase the representation of women in management positions.
On the environmental front, SABECO targets a 42 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and aims to make 100 per cent of its beverage packaging reusable or recyclable by 2040.

In 2025, the company allocated VNĐ2.82 trillion to green deposits to help mobilise financial resources for environmentally focused activities.
SABECO also maintains its community engagement through long-term social programmes. From 2023 to 2025, it presented around 28,000 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged workers and border guard personnel.
In 2026, the company continued these efforts, distributing 6,500 Tet gift packages to local residents across 16 provinces and cities.
These initiatives underpin the recognition of SABECO, Bia Saigon and Bia 333 at APEA 2026. The three awards reflect the company's approach to combining product innovation, operational efficiency and sustainable development. — VNS
