BARCELONA — Viettel officially launched the global technology community 2024G chipset and virtual assistant Vi An - Human AI at the opening session of the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) in Barcelona which is being held from February 26-29.

These are two out of 17 products representing the technology ecosystem introduced by Viettel at the largest annual event in the mobile technology industry. This is the seventh time Viettel has taken part in the conference as Việt Nam's only technology industry firm.

With the theme “Future first”, Viettel is showcasing products focusing on four groups: network infrastructure; database; digital platforms and future technologies.

The product series has been presented in a two-storey space with the theme S-Nation. The letter S represents the meanings: smart, sustainable, and the S-shape of Việt Nam.

At MWC 2024, Viettel is introducing the 5G DFE chip designed by Viettel engineers. Viettel's 5G DFE chip is capable of calculating 1,000 trillion calculations per second, meeting the common 5G standards of 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), an umbrella term for several standards organisations which develop protocols for mobile telecommunications. The 5G DFE chip is equivalent to 5G chips of the top 10 semiconductor companies in the world.

Viettel is introducing a network system that automatically optimises performance, saves power and automatically resolves application problems for both 5G and 4G, which is being deployed comprehensively in Việt Nam and 10 countries and territories where Viettel is investing and doing business.

The storage and processing infrastructure group includes Viettel Cloud providing services from storage/processing infrastructure, application and software development platforms for organisations and businesses. The Vietnamese-owned ecosystem has the role of protecting digital sovereignty and creating data storage infrastructure for Vietnamese people and businesses.

Viettel also brings to MWC 2024 AI applications for customer interaction, finance, and entertainment.

Vi An - Vietnam's first Human AI creates new ways of interacting with artificial intelligence. At MWC 2024, Vi An chatted with customers in a friendly and natural way.

In addition, Viettel digital financial platform (VDFP) supports the development of digital financial applications with non-internet payment features, bringing digital finance to areas with limited fixed network and mobile connections.

The products that change the way people use technology in the future include Digital Twin creating virtual spaces based on AI technology, IoT and remote sensing data. Technology is being researched and developed by Viettel to optimise urban operations.
