The southern coastal province of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu is mobilising all resources to speed up the progress of major transport projects, including roads, railways and bridges.

Tân Vũ Port, a branch of Hải Phòng Port based in Đình Vũ Industrial Park of the northern port city of Hải Phòng, handled its 1 millionth TEU of goods on November 20.

Voters in Hải An District, the northern city of Hải Phòng on Wednesday applauded the newly-issued resolution of the National Assembly that offers special mechanisms and policies for the development of some specific cities and provinces including Hải Phòng.

The volume of goods transported through southern ports has been rising by an average of 20 per cent a year in recent years, according to a report by Vietcombank Securities Company (VCBS).
