HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam national men’s football team maintained their 94th position in the latest FIFA Men's Rankings revealed on Thursday.

Việt Nam have 1258 points and continue to top the list of all the teams from the Southeast Asian region. Thailand sit in 113th place followed by the Philippines (No 124), Myanmar (No 136) and Malaysia (No 154).

In Asia, Việt Nam were in No 14. Japan continued to take the lead with the world No 28, followed by Iran, South Korea, Australia and Qatar.

Belgium top the world rankings, followed by France, Brazil and England.

Việt Nam could increase their place with a good result against Kyrgyzstan in a friendly match on March 26 and against Malaysia in the qualifying round of World Cup 2022 on March 31. — VNS
