HÀ NỘI V.League 1 side HCM City have signed South Korean midfielder Seo Yong-duk ahead of the new season.
The details of the deal have not been released, but Seo is likely to compete for HCM City a year.
Before arriving in HCM City, Seo played for Busan IPark Club in K-League 2.
Seo played for South Korea U20s from 2007-09. He left to play in Japan for Omiya Ardija, FC Tokyo and Kataller Toyama from 2010-14. After that he returned to South Korea to Ulsan Hyundai, FC Anyang, Asan Mugunghwa and Busan IPark.
The 30-year-old can play in centre midfielder or on the left. Seo is expected to replace midfielder and captain Đỗ Văn Thuận who is injured.
HCM City are also trying to sign midfielder Lee Nguyễn, who previously played in Việt Nam in 2009 for former champions Hoàng Anh Gia Lai and currently plays for Inter Miami CF in the US MLS. VNS
