HÀ NỘI — The annual Longbien Marathon 2019 (LBM 2019) will be held this Sunday with the participation of nearly 6,000 athletes.

They will run over four courses of 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.

LBM, with its theme of ‘Run Home’ this year, is one of the rare events in Việt Nam recognised by the International Association of Athletics Federations and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.

Results will be used to apply for the Boston Marathon, one of six World Marathon Majors.

Winners will receive a total of VNĐ650 million (US$28,000) in cash and gifts. — VNS
