HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam ranked second at the 14th SEA Youth Athletics Championships 2019 which closed in the Philippines on Sunday.
The Vietnamese participants secured seven golds, nine silvers and 11 bronzes in the two-day competition.
Thailand topped the rankings with 17 titles. Malaysia finished third with four.
Among the Vietnamese winners were Nguyễn Thu Quyên in the women’s 1500m (4min 42.42sec), Nguyễn Văn Huy in the men’s 1500m (4:06.43), Nguyễn Thanh Sang in the men’s 800m (1:56.50) and Lê Thị Kim Phượng in the women’s 800m (2:14.34). — VNS
