HÀ NỘI -- Lê Tiến Đạt celebrated a hat trick after winning the title at the Hà Nội Table Tennis Club Open, the Hà Nội Mới newspaper Cup.

The national team player of Tiến Đạt Shop Club came from behind to beat Tô Đức Hoàng of Dũng Cửu Sport – Eurowindow Club 8-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-6, 11-6 in the final of the men’s professional category at the weekend in Hà Nội.

It was his third gold medal in a row.

Nguyễn Anh Tú (Hà Nội) and Nguyễn Trung Kiên (Hà Nội T&T) shared third place.

In other finals, Trần Huy Bảo (Petro Việt Nam) beat Nguyễn Đăng Hiệp Hỏa Châu Club in the men’s A class and Lê Đức Long of bongbanviet.com beat Nguyễn Minh Tiến (Petro Việt Nam) in the men’s U45 pool. Hỏa Châu 2 and Gentlemen 1992 secured titles of the men’s teams class A and B, respectively.

The Hà Nội Table Tennis Club Open is an annual tournament. This year, nearly 300 athletes competed in 12 categories for a total bonus of VNĐ300 million (US$5,600). -- VNS
