Eerd of the Netherlands’ Global Cycling Team won the event’s most coveted prize with the best overall time of 42:59.47 after 14 stages, and walked away with VNĐ200million (US$8,700) in prize money.
Sarda Perez Javier of Lộc Trời Group won the red jersey as King of Mountain, while the white jersey for the best young cyclist went to Purnomo Setiawan of Indonesia’s PGN.
Im won the last stage from Đồng Xoài Town in Bình Phước Province to HCM City yesterday, covering 136km in a time of 3:12.28.
The annual event, which was co-organised by VTV and the Việt Nam Cycling Federation, attracted 80 cyclists from six domestic cycling teams and six foreign clubs, competing over 14 stages covering 1,800km. — VNS
