HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s Thái Sơn Nam lost to Nafit Al Wasat of Iraq 3-4 in Group B of the AFC Futsal Club Championship Indonesia 2018 yesterday.

Roberto Tobe Belope helped the Vietnamese side open the score in the second minute. But Nafit Al Wasat played calmly during the first half, though they didn’t earn any goals.

In the second half, Nafit Al Wasat revealed their latent strength to defeat Thái Sơn Nam in the end.

The Wasat will play their final Group B tie against South Korea’s Jeonju MAG FC, while Việt Nam club take on Al Dhafra of the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.

"We didn’t deserve this result, we didn’t deserve to lose this game. In the first half we played so well, especially in the first 10 minutes. We had a lot of opportunities, but after five fouls, we couldn’t keep pressing. In the second half, it was equal. They had some chances and punished us… Now, we have to forget about this result and focus on the next game. It’s going to be the final, not just for us but for Al Dhafra as well,” said Thái Sơn Nam’s head coach Miguel Rodrigo on the-afc.com. — VNS
