HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Nhật Nam of Domesco Đồng Tháp won the overall yellow jersey of Return to the Countryside cycling tournament which wrapped up on Saturday.
Nam became the tour leader with the best time of 20:16.53 after 10 stages, followed by Quách Tiến Dũng of the Military Zone 7 and Phạm Minh Triết of Bike Life Đà Nẵng.
Nam’s teammate Phan Hoàng Thái won the green jersey as the best sprinter with 106 points.
In the team rankings, Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang won the title with a total time of 60:54.01. Bike Life Đồng Nai and Go for Gold were the runners-up.
The event attracted nearly 70 cyclists from eight domestic teams and one foreign team, competing in 11 stages, covering 939km, through 11 provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta, including Kiên Giang, Cà Mau, Bạc Liêu and Sóc Trăng. — VNS
