HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam beat Myanmar 4-0 in their first match at the M-150 Cup’s Group B, a friendly tournament for U23s, in Thailand, on Saturday.

Midfielder, Nguyễn Quang Hải, scored a double in the first 45 minutes, before his teammates Phan Văn Long and Nguyễn Công Phượng added two more goals in the second half.

With one goal and two assists to help Hải score, Phượng was voted the MVP of the game.

On Wednesday, Việt Nam will play Uzbekistan, who will play their first match against Myanmar today.

In a Group A match on Saturday, Thailand beat U20 Japan 2-1.

Saringkarn Promsupa and Chaiyawat Buran netted goals for Thailand, while Yuta Kamiya scored a goal for Japan.

Japan will face North Korea today, while the Thailand vs North Korea game is scheduled for Wednesday. — VNS
