HÀ NỘI — Thái Sơn Bắc beat Tân Hiệp Hưng 4-1 in the first qualifying round match of the first leg of the National Futsal HDBank Cup.

The National Futsal HDBank Cup was held at Tiên Sơn Sports Complex in the central city of Đà Nẵng on November 26.

At the previous matches in the national tournament, Thái Sơn Bắc also beat Tân Hiệp Hưng 1-0 and 8-6.

Although Thái Sơn Bắc were appreciated more than their rivals, the team still played impatiently. They made five errors seven minutes into the first half and faced the risk of being fined a penalty.

However, at this difficult time, Đức Tùng shone and opened the score for Thái Sơn Bắc. Tùng also scored two more goals to arrive at the final score of 4-1.

“I am very satisfied with Tùng’s performance. He recovered from his injury to compete in this match. He is a key player in my team, especially for the attack line,” said coach Luis Marimon.

Meanwhile, coach assistant, Trương Hồng Tài of Tân Hiệp Hưng, said his players put in a lot of effort and tried their best to score goals but failed.

Thái Sơn Bắc will next face Tân Hiệp Hưng on November 28.

The tournament consists of two stages. The qualifying round will take place from November 26 to 28 with the participation of six teams, including Thái Sơn Bắc, Cao Bằng, Tân Hiệp Hưng and Hoàng Thư Đà Nẵng, as well as Sanest Tourist Khánh Hòa, and Kim Toàn Đà Nẵng.

They will be split into three pairs and the three winners will compete in the final round scheduled for November 30-December 3.

The champion will receive VNĐ100 million (US$4,545). The second and third prize winners will be given VNĐ60 million ($2,727) and VNĐ30 million ($1,363), respectively. — VNS
