HÀ NỘI — Vĩnh Long lost to Cambodia 0-3 in the opening match of the Vĩnh Long International Volleyball Tournament in the southern province of Vĩnh Long on September 11.

With their outstanding performance, Luch Kimsean and Mak Rado helped Cambodia win 25-21, 25-21 in the first two sets.

Although the hosts made every effort in the third set, they still displayed weaknesses in attack and the visitors were eventually able to beat them 25-23.

In the other match on the men’s side, HCM City easily defeated Bình Dương 25-13, 25-18, 25-19.

As many as 10 teams (five male, five female) have registered to compete in the tournament.

Apart from the two international teams — Cambodia and the Philippines Cocolife Asset — fans will witness strong domestic teams from Long An, VTV Bình Điền Long An, Quảng Ninh and Hà Nội Đức Giang Chemical.
