HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội 1 beat Hà Nội 2 4-1 to take second place at the National Women’s Football Championship yesterday in HCM City.

Nguyễn Kim Anh opened the score at the 16th minute before her teammates Thái Thị Thảo made it a double and substitute Phạm Hải Yến netted the fourth one at the 85th mark.

Hà Nội 2’s Trần Thị Nhung claimed the only goal for her side which was sandwiched between Hà Nội 1’s winners.

In the earlier match yesterday, Phong Phú Hà Nam trounced TNG Thái Nguyên 5-0 to top the championship.

Even though Việt Nam Coal and Minerals, Sơn La and Hà Nội 1 shared three points after the first match, it was Phong Phú Hà Nam which took the first position due to their better goal difference.

Tomorrow, Việt Nam Coal and Minerals will meet HCM City 2 and Sơn La will meet HCM City 1 at the Thống Nhất Stadium. — VNS
