HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội FC scored in extra time of the second half to beat Sông Lam Nghệ An at home in the early match of the V. League’s 13th round yesterday.

Hoàng Vũ Samson scored the only goal of the match to help his team scrape through.

Both teams played an attacking game to hunt for goals but failed in official time. The quality of Hàng Đẫy Stadium is not very good and that played a huge role in the way both teams performed.

In this match, although playing on an away ground, Sông Lam Nghệ An (SLNA) had a large number of supporters who painted the stadium yellow – the colour of their club’s uniform. About 4,000 SLNA fans came to the venue to encourage their team.
