Hanoi Buffaloes registered an upset victory at the Thailand Basketball Super League (TBSL) by defeating the host country's TGE 87-83 on February 26.

HÀ NỘI — Hanoi Buffaloes registered an upset victory at the Thailand Basketball Super League (TBSL) by defeating the host country’s TGE 87-83 on February 26.

Playing without their six regular players in the match against Hitech, the Vietnamese club had to play with their assistant coach, and lost the game 75-81 to the Thailand team last Saturday.

However, Buffaloes took on TGE with the same depleted side on Sunday, but managed to rally into the extra time to win the match.

In their round eight match, TGE won 83-61 on January 29.

The Buffaloes is ranked seventh among the league’s 10 participants.

Mono Vampire are placed at the top, followed by Hitech and Mono Thew.

The Vietnamese team will play Kabayan, who are ranked sixth this weekend. — VNS
