Lian Trần eliminated from ITF Asia U14 tournament

Việt Nam’s number one hope Lian Trần was ousted from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Asia 14 and Under Championships Division 1’s third round in HCM City on March 16.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s number one hope Lian Trần was ousted from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Asia 14 and Under Championships Division 1’s third round in HCM City on March 16.

Trần lost to second seed Wong Hao of Hong Kong 6-7, 5-7 after nearly two hours of play at the Lan Anh Tennis Club.

Earlier, seven other Vietnamese players were also defeated at the event.

The tournament will end on March 25.

Việt Nam had won two boys’ singles titles and two boys’ doubles titles and had achieved two second-place finishes at the 2015 edition of Division II in HCM City. — VNS
