ĐỒNG THÁP — The 2024 Đất Sen Hồng Đồng Tháp Marathon -- Masterise Homes Cup to be held on October 12-13, is expecting a huge number of runners, nearly 10,000, to Đồng Tháp Province.

The tournament themed 'Pioneer - Breakthrough' is one of largest and most highly anticipated sporting events in the province, known as the land of lotus flowers. 

It is organised by the Đồng Tháp's Culture, Sports and Tourism Department and Nexus Sport Events.

In its third edition, organisers promise a competitive and professional tournament, with a running track that meets the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races' (AIMS) international standards.

All four distances of 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km will start at the Văn Miếu Square in Cao Lãnh City on October 13. Track routes are designed favourably to help runners set their new personal bests, while discovering the destination's natural beauty of vast lotus fields, peaceful villages and warm welcomes from friendly locals.

On October 12, hundreds of children from five to 10 years old will take part in the 800m KUN Fun Run Đồng Tháp 2024. The activity is expected to nurture love with sports in general and running in particular, to encourage an active and strong generation.

In addition to the main races, participants can join in other activities such as visiting sports suppliers and tasting local cuisine with delicious dishes including Lai Vung spring rolls, which are wrapped in banana leaves, bánh tằm bì (dish of pork skin and coconut milk) and the super tasty Sa Đéc noodle soup

This year's events are sponsored by Masterise Homes, a pioneering international real estate developer in Việt Nam and the world.

Pull on a pair of trainers

Celebrating the one-year anniversary of launching the professional running system Vietnam Nexus Marathon Series (VNMS), Nexus Sport Events announces VNMS Running Hub, marking a new development step towards the goal of developing the healthy running community in Việt Nam.

Like a playground for running newbies, beginners will be given appropriate training plans and advised by a team of experienced VNMS-partner coaches. Through the VNMS Running Hub's training sessions, people can give and share their knowledge, strengthen relationships and promote a passion for running in daily life.
