 HUẾ -- The Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2024 off road race will be held for the first time at the Huế City's Hồ Thủy Tiên Park on June 20-23.

The tournament along with a Việt Nam Camping Festival is organised by the Thừa Thiên Huế Province's Culture and Sports Department. It is the opening event for the Huế Sport Festival 2024.

Nearly 90 teams such as Offroad Hà Nội, Pickup Dak Lak Club, PDC - Pickup DaNang Club, Offroad Vũng Tàu, and PVC - Pickup Vietnam Club have registered to take part in the event. Participants will compete in five categories for 

Participants will compete in three categories of Basic, Advanced and Open-Professional Pickups. For the first time SUV and camping trucks are encouraged to take part in the race.

The racetrack is professionally designed based on the terrain at Hồ Thủy Tiên Park.

 According to the organisers, the race is one of activities to develop the off-road community and push the off-road racing in Việt Nam.

The tournament lures the highest number of female racers and there are also racers who are over 50 years old.

At the camping festival, organisers will hold activities such as teambuilding, beautiful camping and tuner cars and a gala awarding night.

Organisers will also present gifts to poor families in the area during the four-day event. VNS
