ĐÀ NẴNG — Hiếu Hoa Quahaco and Đại Từ will vie for the trophy of the National Seven-a-side Super Cup, the top title of the season, on May 5, at the Đà Nẵng's Đầm Sen Stadium.

Hiếu Hoa of Đà Nẵng are the champions of the National Hyundai Thanhcong Cup -- VSC-S3. In the past year, the team secured number of high prizes such as the 2023 Central and Highlands regional ĐPL-S2 title, 2023 second place of the Việt Nam Premier League -- VPL-S4, and trophy of the International Seven-a-side Football Tournament -- Wika Cup 2024.

Meanwhile Đại Từ from Thái Nguyên Province are the winners of the VPL-S4. They beat all regional champions An Biên FC of the South in the quarter-finals; Mobi FC of the North in the semi-finals and Hiếu Hoa of the Central in the final.

Both two sides are homes to national best players such as top scorer Phan Thái and best goalkeeper Trần Anh Đức of the of the Hanoi Premier League 10 along with former national 11-a-side football players Trần Mạnh Dũng and Nguyễn Việt Phong of Đại Từ. They are former national futsal player Nguyễn Văn Hiếu, and VSC-S3's MVP Nguyễn Thanh Tuấn and best goalkeeper Trần Anh Tuấn.

"The seven-a-side football has strongly developed nationwide in recent years. The national competition system has been established with the VSC and VPL tournaments," said Phạm Ngọc Tuấn, general director of VietFooball, the organisers.

"In order to increase the competitiveness of tournaments and meet the needs of teams and supporters, from 2023, VietFooball has organise the Super Cup match between the champions of VPL and VSC."

He added that the Super Cup match followed the slogan "Football for the community" and the mission of joining hands to contribute and demonstrate social responsibility through football.

It was also to mark the new season, promising excitement and many exciting things to look forward to in Vietnamese 7-a-side football.

The match will be live aired on VTVcab's ON Football channel, and apps ON Plus and ON. VNS
