QUẢNG NGÃI — The Lộc Trời An Giang cycling team claimed victory in the ninth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Cup on Tuesday.

The timed team race, covering a distance of 32km, saw the cyclists of Lộc Trời An Giang finish in an impressive 37 minutes 27 seconds, beating HCM City New Group by over a minute. HCM City's Vinama came in third, with a time of 38:31.44.

Led by rookie Petr Rikunov and veteran Quàng Văn Cường, Lộc Trời An Giang showcased their strength and unity to clinch the win.

As the largest cycling tournament in the nation, the race spans 2,964km in 25 stages, starting from Hoàn Kiếm Lake in Hà Nội on April 2 and winding through the Mekong Delta province of An Giang before concluding in HCM City on April 30.

With a total award value of approximately VNĐ2 billion, the stakes are high in this gruelling competition. The winner of the coveted yellow jersey will receive an award of VNĐ200 million, while the winners of the blue and red jerseys will each receive an award of VNĐ50 million.
