HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) and TCP Việt Nam Company Limited signed a sponsorship contract on December 23 in Hà Nội.
Following the deal, TCP Việt Nam and its brands Red Bull and Warrior will sponsor the national men's and women's football teams and the U23 men's squad from February 2023.
"In recent years, Việt Nam football has grabbed impressive results in regional and international competitions. Our achievements are recognised by FIFA, the world football governing body, with a No. 96 world ranking for men and No. 34 for women in 2022. Both two teams are No. 1 in ASEAN," said Dương Nghiệp Khôi, VFF General Secretary.
"These outstanding performances are made from the continuous effort and fighting spirit of players, coaches and from VFF staff and leaders who mapped out plans and orientation for teams. Maintaining success in the coming time will be tough challenge. We need not only stay at this place but also eye a higher level to meet the demands of millions of supporters. We are pleased and respect TCP Việt Nam's contribution to the development of national football. Their hands will push Việt Nam football to a higher level and bring more success home," said Khôi.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nguyễn Thanh Huân, TCP Việt Nam general director, said: “In Việt Nam, football is not only a sport but also a passion and ambition for victory which unites people. TCP Việt Nam and Red Bull are honoured to be a partner of the VFF, accompanying the national teams to reach victories."
Huân said the company was always ready to support teams in both spirit and fitness, helping players be confident to overcome challenges.
"We hope that our positive energy will play a role in helping Việt Nam football go further and inspire Vietnamese people to pursue their goals in life,” he said.
In addition to their partnership with VFF, TCP Việt Nam has also sponsored a football tournament jointly organised by the Central Việt Nam Student Association and Thanh Niên (Young People) Newspaper which will soon be an official tournament of the VFF and the Việt Nam University Games in the coming time.
