HCM CITY — Nestlé MILO brand will organise the MILO Erun online run for children on April 2 and 3 to provide an active and safe playground for them since the COVID-19 pandemic has not been brought under control yet.
The run is organised along with the 2022 Tiền Phong Marathon that is sponsored by the brand.
Contesting children have to cover a distance of 2km cumulatively, and can run at any time and any place without having to go far.
Vũ Tiến, deputy editor-in-chief of Tiền Phong newspaper, and deputy head of the marathon organising committee, said: “During the long online learning period due to the pandemic, children had few physical activities, and so many felt sluggish and less energetic.
“Many schools across the country resumed direct teaching more than a month ago, but extracurricular activities for students remain limited. Therefore, the MILO Erun online provides a safe and active playground for children, which is welcomed by many parents.”
Binu Jacob, managing director of Nestlé Vietnam, said, “Regular exercise and playing sports not only help children stay active and relieve stress, but also give them an opportunity to train to not be afraid of challenges. We hope children have a rewarding and healthy experience in this year's MILO Erun online run."
The programme will randomly select 20 children from among the contestants who completed the 2km distance and give each of them a gift set consisting of a cardboard box of Nestle MILO 115ml, a MILO astronaut backpack, a MILO crossbody bag, and a LEGO BricQ set.
