HÀ NỘI — Forty locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday, including 38 in Hải Dương, one in Quảng Ninh and one in Hà Nội.
Out of the 38 new patients in Hải Dương, 34 are linked to positive cases confirmed earlier in the province’s clusters and have been quarantined since the latest outbreak was detected on January 27.
The remaining four are members of a family detected in the community after developing symptoms of coughing and having high fevers. They are being treated at a field hospital set up at the Hải Dương Medical Technical University and their travel records are being traced.
The two patients in Hà Nội and Quảng Ninh are both linked to positive cases confirmed earlier and have also been put in quarantine. They are being treated at a field hospital in Quảng Ninh’s Móng Cái City and Hà Nội’s National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Đông Anh District respectively.
Việt Nam’s caseload now stands at 2,311, with 1,531 patients having recovered from the disease. — VNS
