HÀ NỘI — Two Vietnamese citizens returning from the Czech Republic and two foreign experts from India have been identified as Việt Nam’s latest COVID-19 patients.
The new cases bring Việt Nam's total to 1,316 patients, according to the Ministry of Health.
Patient 1313 is a 55-year-old man residing in Nam Định Province’s Mỹ Lộc District.
Patient 1314 is a 57-year-old woman who lives in Nghệ An Province’s Vinh City. They landed at Cần Thơ Airport on Sunday on repatriation flight QH9062 from the Czech Republic.
They are being treated at the Vĩnh Long Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Disease after testing positive for the virus on Monday.
Patient 1315 and 1316, aged 30 and 38, are Indian experts who arrived last Friday at Nội Bài International Airport on Flight 6E8679 from India.
They were quarantined upon arrival and tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday. They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2 in Đông Anh District.
Also on Tuesday, two COVID-19 patients were declared to have recovered, bringing the total number of patients to be given the all-clear to 1,153.
Việt Nam has reported 35 COVID-19-related fatalities. Many of them were elderly patients with underlying conditions such as diabetes and kidney failure. — VNS
