HÀ NỘI — The Vietnamese Government has presented medical supplies, including 325,000 medical masks worth US$20,000, to Myanmar amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The medical supplies were handed over by Vietnamese Ambassador Lý Quốc Tuấn at Yangon International Airport on Thursday.
The Myanmar side thanked the Vietnamese Government for its timely support as Myanmar is facing a shortage of medical supplies.
On October 14, Ambassador Chu Công Phùng, President of the Việt Nam-Myanmar Friendship Association, handed over VNĐ540.75 million and 42 boxes of medical supplies to the Myanmar Embassy in Việt Nam.
HCM City, which has a twinning relationship with Myanmar’s Yangon region, has also presented more than 13,000 masks to Myanmar. — VNS
