Two imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Thursday evening raising the total number of patients in Việt Nam to 1,124, said the Ministry of Health.

HÀ NỘI — Two imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Thursday evening raising the total number of patients in Việt Nam to 1,124, said the Ministry of Health.

Patient 1,123 is a 68-year-old woman from Gia Tân Commune, Thống Nhất District in the southern province of Đồng Nai.

Patient 1,124 is a 55-year-old man from An Khê Ward, Thanh Khê District in the central city of Đà Nẵng.

The two patients entered Việt Nam via the Vân Đồn International Airport on October 11 on flight VN0001 from the US. They were quarantined in the northern province of Hưng Yên. They tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on October 14. Now they are under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2 in Đông Anh District in Hà Nội. — VNS
