One new imported case of COVID-19 reported, total rises to 384

HÀ NỘI — A 27-year-old Russian man has been confirmed as the 384th COVID-19 patient in Việt Nam, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Health on Monday evening.

He is an expert on oil and gas. He landed at Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in HCM City on July 11 on flight IO4405.

He was quarantined in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province right after entering the country.

He tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 on July 13.

On July 18, he had high temperature, sore throat, backache and two days later tested positive for the virus.

Now he is undergoing treatment at the Bà Rịa Hospital.

Earlier, nine other people on the same flight tested positive for the virus and were quarantined after entering Việt Nam.

Việt Nam has not seen any new cases in the community for 95 days.

More than 11,600 people are quarantined at hospitals, quarantine centres and at home. — VNS
