No new COVID-19 cases reported on Friday morning

There were no new cases of COVID-19 reported overnight in Việt Nam of Friday, meaning the total amount nationwide remains at 268.

HÀ NỘI — There were no new cases of COVID-19 reported overnight in Việt Nam of Friday, meaning the total amount nationwide remains at 268.

Of those, 177 people who contracted the virus have been treated and made a full recovery.

From the 91 patients currently in hospital, 14 have recorded one negative test, and 19 have twice tested negative for the virus.

Medical officials say that a further 14 people are expected to be given the all-clear on Friday and will be discharged from the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội.

On Thursday morning, it was announced a 16-year-old H’Mong girl had tested positive in Hà Giang.

She is the first person to contract the disease in the northern mountainous province.

Meanwhile three people currently in critical conditions, patients number 19, 91 and 161, are showing signs of improvement, according to the health ministry. — VNS.
