Four new COVID-19 cases reported, total number rises to 245

Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday afternoon, bringing the nation's total to 245, according to the latest report by the Ministry of Health.

HÀ NỘI — Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday afternoon, bringing the nation's total to 245, according to the latest report by the Ministry of Health.

The 242nd patient is a 34-year-old Vietnamese woman, from Cẩm Quang Commune, Cẩm Xuyên District in the central province of Hà Tĩnh. She lives and works in Russia. She returned to Việt Nam from Russia on March 25 on flight SU290, seat 23A via Nội Bài International Airport. Right after entering Việt Nam, she was put in quarantine at the FPT University’s dormitory in Hà Nội’s Thạch Thất District. She tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on April 5 by the Hà Nội CDC. She has been under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2.

The 243rd patient is a 47-year-old Vietnamese man, from Mê Linh Commune, Mê Linh District in Hà Nội. He took his wife to Bạch Mai Hospital for a health examination on March 12 and returned home the same day. The couple had lunch at a restaurant opposite the hospital and did not return to the hospital.

He gave a medical declaration at the communal medical station on March 30 and was quarantined at home with no symptoms of the disease. He had close contact with his family, relatives and business colleagues. He tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on April 6 by the Hà Nội Centre for Diseases Control (CDC). Now he is under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2 in Đông Anh District in Hà Nội.

A 44-year-old Vietnamese woman was announced as the 244th patient in the country. She is from Đức Trạch Commune, Bố Trạch District in the central province of Quảng Bình. She flew from Germany to Russia on flight SU2313, seat 20F, and then flew from Russia to Việt Nam on flight SU290, seat 40C. She entered the country via Nội Bài International Airport on March 25 and went into quarantine at the FPT University’s dormitory. She is also under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2.

A 21-year-old Vietnamese woman was declared as the 245th patient in Việt Nam. She is from Sơn Hải Commune, Quỳnh Lưu District in the central province of Nghệ An. She works at a nail salon in Spain. She flew from Spain to Russia on flight SU250, seat 26B, and flew from Russia to Việt Nam on the flight SU290, seat 30H. She entered Việt Nam on March 25 via Nội Bài International Airport. She is also under treatment at the same hospital as the above patients. — VNS
