HCM CITY — Hotlines 1022 and 02838249000 in HCM City, which are available 24 hours a day to receive calls from the public relating to the coronavirus outbreak, were set up on Wednesday by the city’s People’s Committee.

Agencies, organisations and individuals can report information, suggestions or complaints on issues related to the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the city to the leaders of the municipal People's Committee via the hotlines.

The city’s Department of Information and Communication has launched websites providing information about 1,073 stores selling cloth face masks at stable prices across the city.

The websites, covid19.hochiminhcity.gov.vn/diadiembankhautrang or 1022.tphcm.gov.vn/covid19, allow local people to easily discover the nearest stores.

Many different types of masks can be seen in the stores of supermarket chains such as Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.opFood, Satrafoods, VinMart, VinMart+, Big C, Lotte Mart and Aeon.

The department plans to develop and soon provide an application software that will run on Android and iOS operating systems and allow people to seek information about the prevention and control of COVID-19.

It will work with the Department of Industry and Trade to regularly update information on traditional markets, shopping centres, supermarkets, convenience stores, retail outlets and shops selling essential products and fresh food in the city. — VNS
