Solar power plant added to national power strategy

HÀ NỘI — A solar power plant in Ninh Thuận Province had been added to the national power development plan in 2020.

The plant, with a capacity of 450MW, is located in Phước Minh Commune, Thuận Nam District of the central coastal province of Ninh Thuận.

The plant includes a 500kV electric transmission station and 500kV and 220kV lines which are to be connected to the national power grid this year.

The Government assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to accelerate investment into construction of the electricity grid to ensure the full capacity of the plant is transmitted and avoid losses to investors.

The Prime Minister also asked the Ninh Thuận People’s Committee to transparently and publicly choose investors for the plant. — VNS
