HCM CITY — HCM City plans to integrate half of its online public services on its new national public service portal by 2020 in an attempt to further simplify administrative procedures, the city’s People’s Committee has said.
The integration of the public service portal between the city and the nation targets standardising administrative procedure; integrating data to reflect recommendations of citizens and enterprises and common problems in administrative procedures; and connecting the city's central service portal with the national public service portal.
To access the services people and enterprises will be able to log on at dichvucong.hochiminhcity.gov.vn, which includes administrative procedures and public services and a mechanism to monitor them.
The committee said it would complete the integration of 42 public services on the city’s portal with the national portal by the end of 2020, along with 322 out of 644 third and fourth-level public services.
The total number of third-level public services provided by the city stood at 1,140 in November, of which 284 were provided by departments and 856 by districts. Total fourth-level public services stood at 375, of which 187 were provided by departments and 188 by districts.
In order to effectively perform online public services, the committee said the city had made efforts to upgrade public service portals, integrate online payment services and document services, and returned results of administrative procedures.
At the same time, the city was developing a method for paying fees, charges and State budget remittances for fourth-level services.
The city had also stepped up guidance of online public services, including publicising procedures for online public service records; organising training courses; helping people to apply online; and reducing fees for those who conducted administrative procedures online.
The national portal was launched on December 9 as part of efforts to foster e-government development and simplify administrative procedures nationwide. — VNS
