Two Vietnamese girls were among the six victims who died in a fire yesterday morning at an entertainment centre in Ipoh, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak, The Star reported.

IPOH — Two Vietnamese girls were among the six victims who died in a fire on Wednesday morning at an entertainment centre in Ipoh, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak, The Star reported.

According to Perak Fire and Rescue Department, the fire occurred on the fourth floor of the Times Square building. The bodies were recovered from a karaoke room, a toilet and an emergency exit. They are believed to have died from smoke inhalation. The two Vietnamese girls have been identified as Nguyễn Thị Thuỳ Dương, 21, and Nguyễn Thị Trang, 19.

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. — VNS
