HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam-Germany Hospital is suffering a serious shortage of blood for treatment as demand during the recent Lunar New Year holiday spiked by 1.4 times compared with the same period last year.

The hospital conducted more than 67,000 surgeries last year.

On average, it needs 200 units of blood per day for treatment. It receives many emergency cases which need immediate blood transfusions, and many patients need a large amount of blood.

With the message “A drop of blood donated – A life saved,” the hospital is calling on the community to donate blood.

Those willing to donate blood can visit Việt Nam-Germany Hospital at No 40 Tràng Thi Street in Hoàn Kiếm District, or call 19001902 for guidance and further information. VNS
