HCM CITY - A car braked suddenly to avoid a motorbike that was crossing National Highway 20 in Đà Lạt on Wednesday afternoon, and was hit by vehicles coming behind it, causing a pileup and blocking traffic for five kilometres.

The car was reportedly travelling at high speed in the densely populated Phú Hiệp Commune in Di Linh District when the accident occurred.

When the dust cleared, there were five cars in the pileup though fortunately no casualties.

The busy highway was blocked, and it took dozens of police officers several hours to get traffic moving again. – VNS
