HCM CITY — The Ministry of Education and Training, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japanese Embassy are calling for applications for the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship funded by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) 2018.
The JDS 2018 application is open for highly capable young Vietnamese officials who are expected to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
JDS is a full scholarship, including tuition fee, flight ticket, monthly scholarship and other allowances funded by the Japanese Government.
Started in Việt Nam in 2000, the programme has sent 514 JDS fellows from Việt Nam to Japan.
This year, the programme provides a scholarship for two-year master’s courses in various fields, including economics, urban development, energy, agriculture, environment, legal system, and public administration at Japanese universities.
The instruction at graduate schools will be provided in English and JDS fellows are supposed to write their thesis in English.
The application deadline is 5pm on October 29.
A maximum of 60 candidates will be selected by March next year and be sent to Japan in August.
JDS information sessions will be held in Hà Nội, HCM City, Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ninh and Thái Nguyên this month. — VNS
